Where did the ‘She’s Cracked’ theme develop from?
We were relooking at a print we did in 2000 of broken pearls and we thought that it had renewed relevance.

What are the key stories / prints / pieces that make up this collection?
Broken china, broken crystal and broken pearls.

What are you personal favourite pieces for S/S 09/10?
The classic trench and the vinyl jacket (as featured in Comme des Garçons and Nippon Vogue’s Tokyo store this month).

What are three key pieces every Kiwi woman should invest in for this Spring / Summer?
Always invest in a good trench, winter or summer.
Plus any pair of Karen Walker sunglasses or jewellery.

What should we stay away from?
The cheap M.C. Hammer pants that will inevitably be around. Only do them if they’re Balmain.

What’s the best way to wear / style the oversized shoulder trend?
With a high shoe.
