After three long, happy years my faithful camera has finally met its end and no longer works. As sad as that is, it means I can upgrade my old brick for something hot and sexy. Eyelash extensions
After moaning about my short, straight and utterly disapointing lashes to beauty ed Shannon about twenty times too much, she suggested I give eyelash extensions a go. It's not as scary as it sounds; fake lashes are individually glued to your real lashes. They last up to six weeks, and either fall out with your natural lash cycle or you can get them professionally removed. I was a bit sceptical at first, but as soon as the ladies at Phoenix Cosmetics finished up, I was very impressed. Tempura wedges
Delicious, crunchy and oh so yummy, these new wedges are my latest winter addiction! Watties have come up with the ingenious idea of lightly coating the wedges in a delicious Tempura style batter. The result? Perfectly crisp and golden wedges every time. Plus they’re super easy to cook, just whip them in the oven and you’re good to go. Amaze! Available from leading supermarkets RRP $4.80
Sound of the Overground
nzgirl is giving you the heads up on the return of one of the hottest events to hit Auckland – Sound of the Overground. If you love pop music, and we’re talking everything from Kanye to Lady GaGa, you have to be there! Mark down Thursday June 25 in your diary, and make sure you head along to Agents & Merchants and Racket Bar for a wicked night of hot music, from world class pop DJ’s.
