Inject some glam into a glum winter’s day with the glittery goodness of sequins! I was introduced to sequins, beads and feather boas at the tender age of four when I slipped on a pair of silver tap shoes (teamed with a huge fake smile) and began my foray into competitive dancing.
Since then I’ve had somewhat of an obsession with all that glitters, so it’s fair to say I have embraced this trend more than the average Jane. I’m certainly not encouraging you to dress head to toe in sequins, but instead cleverly work the sparkle into your look with a feature dress, skirt, tank, cute waistcoat or pair or flats.
This trend is best teamed with simple, flat colours rather than patterns so you don’t resemble a lit Christmas tree. And don’t be afraid to don this look only when the lights go down, sequins are fair game during daylight hours and can even join you in the office if you don’t overdo it. Have fun!
