Pure Fiji Nourishing Exotic Oil-White Gingerlily Infusion Chase the winter blues away with a luxe potion for your entire body… I love Pure Fiji’s Nourishing Exotic Oil White Gingerlily Infusion. It’s literally pure paradise! It smells divine (very similar to Dolce & Gabanna’s Light Blue), and contains a powerful blend of virgin coconut oil and exotic nut extracts to moisturise, nourish and protect both your skin and hair. The oil will rejuvenate, replenish and hydrate to reveal healthier and younger looking skin. It’s a multi purpose product which can be used a massage oil, bath oil, every day moisturiser, and even as an eye makeup remover! RRP $43 from Pure Fiji stockists.
Southbank Estate Sauvignon Blanc “Pink” A gorgeous vino is the perfect antidote for a glum winter day. Here in the nzgirl office, we’re big fans of Southbank Estate Sauvignon Blanc “Pink”. This gorgeous sav looks amaze and tastes just as good. Think crisp and vibrant, with the zest of gooseberry and passionfruit and a gentle burst of strawberry and raspberry flavours – hence the stunning blush colour. A great vino to start the weekend with! RRP$18.95 from leading supermarkets.
Frozen Berries Mmm…berries! Nothing is more delish than a bowl full of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries – however in winter you might think it’s a bit of an ask to have so many delish berries at an nzgirl’s disposal. Well, think again! Say hello to frozen berries – a very clever and economical way to get your summer berry fix all year around. Plus they make a very healthy snack (berries are loaded with antioxidants!), are delish frozen or thawed and are super cheap. Signature Range Mixed Berries $5.29 for 500g from Foodtown.
Trouble is My Business It’s so easy to close your eyes and think of the world as jus the small bubble that you live in, but every so often you come across something that really makes you sit up, take notice and think. This kiwi doco did exactly that for me – it tells the story of “Peachy”, an unconventional teacher in a tough South Auckland high school who refuses to give up on helping his troubled students turn their lives around. Watch as Peachy zones in on kids who are the victims of bullying, home issues, learning difficulties and cultural barriers... Very eye opening and very inspiring! Released May 28 visit www.troubleismybusiness.com.
WIN: We’ve got five double passes to give away to Trouble Is My Business. To get yourself in the draw click on the 'I Want to Win' button at the bottom of the page.
Plunket’s Cup Day Today is Plunket’s birthday! Yep, the iconic organisation is celebrating over 100 years of providing kiwi families with support, service and advice. As nzgilrs, most of us are probably Plunkett babies who owe a lot to this fab organisation. To help celebrate, why not get involved with Plunket’s Cup Day? It’s an opportunity to get your girlfriends together for a well deserved cuppa (or maybe cocktail?!), have some fun and help give other kiwi kids a chance at the best start in life by raising some money for Plunket.
It’s as easy as organising a morning tea for friends, family or workmates anytime throughout May and encouraging everyone to bring along a gold coin donation for Plunket. Whether it’s a bake off, a Mad Hatters Tea party or Teddy Bears picnic, let your imagination go wild! Visit www.plunket.org.nz/cupday for more info.
