For every celebrity wedding bash spread through the pages of the weekly glossies, there’s an A-list couple who don’t feel the need to make their relationship official. In fact, not tying the knot seems to be a quietly growing trend in Hollywood.

But we can’t help it - we think these celebrity pairs would look gorgeous making the trip down the aisle…



Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis
It was love at first sight for Johnny and his French girlfriend, Vanessa - at least, according to him. Something must have clicked between them because, ten years and two children later, they’re still together. Don’t hold out hope for those rumours of a romantic wedding in the south of France - it looks as though this couple already has their fairy-tale ending.



Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal
Given her split with Ryan Phillippe, it’s no surprise that Reese is taking things slowly with Jake - they only confirmed their relationship late last year. This couple, with the matching goofy smiles, is too cute together and as two of the most likeable celebrities out there, we hope that things work out for them.



Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend
It doesn’t sound like longtime couple Charlize and Stuart is planning to make the trip down the aisle soon - if ever. “We love each other and we want to spend our lives together,” Stuart says. “We don’t need a certificate.” Charlize has also told the media that she won’t consider marrying until same-sex couples have the same right.



Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Rafaeli
Leo has been dating Sports Illustrated cover girl Bar since 2005, and even travelled to Israel to meet her family. Between Leo's environmental-activist tendencies and Bar's outdoorsy good looks, we think that any wedding they planned would be an unconventional, nature-friendly affair.



Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry
Bad news for the wedding dress designers of the world - Halle won’t be donning a white gown again. With two divorces in her past, she says she no longer needs the validation of a marriage certificate and that she already has plenty of love in her life in the form of French-Canadian model Gabriel and their baby girl, Nahla.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden
If anyone could plan a funky wedding, it would be Good Charlotte frontman Joel and socialite/House of Harlow designer/ex-Hilton-BFF Nicole. We know they'd turn convention on its head. Instead, they’re choosing to become members of the new Hollywood society: the unwed parents’ club.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr
This willowy pair is already accomplished at the honeymoon thing - they've been spotted PDA-ing in several romantic locations, including Venice, Paris, and Gran Canaria island in Spain.  The actor and Victoria's Secret model would make a cute bride and groom, if they could stay in one place long enough for a ceremony.



Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling
Okay, we know they’re not still together. But could anything be more fairytale than for Ryan and Rachel to finally work things out? Their reconciliation at the end of last year seemed too good to be true - and it was. However, like their characters in The Notebook, perhaps it’s just a matter of timing…
