We've said it before and we’ll say it again, removing your makeup every night before bed is an absolute must. Not doing so can clog pores, which will undoubtedly lead to acne. And I know you don't want that!
Eye makeup that’s left on can trickle into your eyes leading to irritation or worse, an infection. I know it’s easy to roll into bed without a proper cleanse, but this should be a ritual we all embrace and it should be as natural as brushing your teeth.
Using an all-over cleanser may do the trick, however the skin around your eyes is especially delicate and you should think about using a specific eye makeup remover, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
My personal favourite is Clarins, as it’s super gentle and gets rid of all stubborn makeup remnants, even if I’ve packed on the black liner and waterproof mascara. It’s definitely worth the investment.
To apply the remover use a lint free wipe, such as Swisspers as they’re specially designed for this purpose. And it doesn’t hurt to finish off with a quick rinse to ensure your skin’s extra clean.
If you’re wearing water proof mascara hold the wipe on your eye for a few seconds before wiping off gently to soften the makeup. Whatever you do, don’t rub. The makeup will come off if you have a little patience!
