Gin isn’t just for your grandma! We show you how to mix it up with these deliciously divine gin cocktails.
Long Island Ice Tea
This deliciously lethal cocktail is a classic tipple of very tasty proportions. Refreshing, potent and sugary sweet, the Long Island Ice Tea is one cocktail that has to be tried. With one part of each vodka, tequila, rum, gin, triple sec, 1 ½ parts of sweet and sour mix, a splash of coke and ice, this is not a cocktail you need many of! Once you’ve mixed all the ingredients, don’t forget to garnish with a lemon or lime slice and enjoy.
Gin and Sin
What comes first we’re not sure, but this is one devilishly divine drink. Take 1 ½ shots of gin, a shot of lemon juice, ½ a shot each of orange juice and sugar syrup and a dash of grenadine and pour into a shaker filled with ice. Then all you need to do is strain into a cocktail glass. Simple, sexy and scrumptious.
Martini
Another classic, this fancy-pants drink is often described as “crisp” and again, is not one for the faint of heart, or head for that matter. To make a martini, all you need to do is mix 2oz of gin with a teaspoon of dry vermouth over ice and stir then strain into a martini glass. Don’t forget to garnish with a stuffed olive!
Berry Bramble
For something a bit fruity, give this delish cocktail a go. In a shaker, muddle six raspberries with 3 wedges of lime. Add 45mls of gin and a dash of sugar syrup, fill with ice and shake well. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Strain again and garnish with another of those yummy raspberries.
Negroni
This is an easy and tasty cocktail to whip up. Simply fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add an ounce of each gin, sweet vermouth and bitters and stir together. Strain into a tumbler together with some cracked ice and wholah! Instant scrummy cocktail success.
