It’s that time of year – when we get to do a good deed and spoil ourselves at the same time, with the latest batch of Glassons Breast Cancer Research Trust tees!
This year’s range includes stunning designs from iconic kiwi designers such as Karen Walker and Trelise Cooper, along with funky newcomers such as Stolen Girlfriends Club. We love the fact that these tees are a wallet friendly way to add a slice of designer lushness into your wardrobe (hello – Karen Walker for only $29.99?!), and that Glassons donates $10 from every tee sold to the Breast Cancer Research Trust. So far the initative has raised an impressive $3.2 million – and this year we want to see that figure skyrocket! Here in the office, we’re loving this year’s delicious selection – and we couldn’t wait to show them off! Check out our picks and we love them so here. Either whip into your nearest Glassons, or just let your fingers do the shopping and nab your very own gorgie shirt here… From left: Ali (Zambesi), Anya (Trelise Cooper), Angela (Zambesi), Isla (Stolen Girlfriends Club), Ramarea (Karen Walker).
Ali, Graphic Designer BCRT pick... Zambesi
I love this cute sporty design by Zambesi! Anya, Fashion and Beauty Manager BCRT pick… Trelise Cooper I love the detail of this print, it’s so gorgeous. All the little flowers that make up the heart are so feminine and pretty – very Trelise! The design just works so well and has the ability to brighten up any outfit and add a bit of personality. Angela, Office Manager BCRT pick… Zambesi I love my BCRT tees. I buy one every year and I’ve got quite a collection by now. I lost a sister to breast cancer 14 years ago, and another sister currently in remission. Its amazing how much progress has been made in recent years – but there’s a long way to go still. Its neat to have a really positive and enjoyable way to support the research. Thanks to Glassons and all those wonderful designers! Isla, Flossie content producer BCRT pick… Stolen Girlfriends Club I loved the too-cute flowers and Heave Petal slogan – how could I not?! Ramarea, nzgirl editor
BCRT pick… Karen Walker I love the simple arrow design of this cute tee and the gorgie purple and green colours. Such a pretty tee and such an awesome cause! From left: Jenene (Louise Clarke), Tee (Trelise Cooper), Nadia (Ruby), Eric (Jayshri Ganda), Marama (Louise Clarke), Bonnie (Kate Sylvester), Melissa (Stolen Girlfriends Club), Vicky (Cybele). Jenene, CEO BCRT pick… Louise Clarke I like cats; they’re cute and fluffy, yet strong, willful and highly opinionated!
Tee, Editor in Chief BCRT pick… Trelise Cooper I always hang out to see the new designs of the BCRT Glassons tees – each year brings a wealth of great prints and the whole thing is such a great way to bring a worthy cause to our attention. It’s always hard to pick a favourite, but this year I love Trelise Cooper’s white tee and silver heart design, with hope for a CURE shining on through. To date, the tees have raised over $3.2 million for breast cancer research – let’s help make 2009 another great year, get your $30 down to Glassons now and pick up your fav! Nadia, Campaign Executive BCRT pick… Ruby I love the cute girlish design of this tee and not only is it for an awesome cause but it is great quality and a fantastic fit – what’s not to love?! Eric, Network Manager BCRT pick… Jayshri Ganda As a fairly recent immigrant, I love showing everyone how happy I am with my new home, and this great design does it with class! Marama, Agency Sales Manager BCRT pick… Louise Clarke I’m a cat lover but cannot have a pet right now! My husband and I still have a lot of travelling to do over the next few years and fostering a beloved pet out does not sit well with me. When I got to choose my favorite Glassons tee from the 2009 BCRT range, I just had to have Louise Clark’s ‘Cat’ design. Not the real thing, but it’s fun, low maintenance and won’t claw my arms when I put it in my suitcase! Bonnie, Advertising Director BCRT pick… Kate SylvesterThe female character reminds me of the war posters of the 1940s which (rightly) insinuated that women were tough and could do anything. It makes me feel empowered! Melissa, Advertising Executive
BCRT pick… Stolen Girlfriends Club I like it as it’s a little bit edgy and punky, so different from the norm! I’m a Guns N Roses fan so was drawn to this t-shirt! Vicky, Campaign Manager BCRT pick… Cybele I love how Cybele uses colour and shapes across all designs/collections. Birds of paradise is one of my favourites when it comes to flowers, so the choice was easy. The team in the office rocking their gorgie BCRT tees!
