The nzgirl team headed down to Bar 3 where they were treated to a pre-Christmas cocktail, the Chocoholic. With a wickedly delicious chocolate base, this creamy drink is absolutely divine and the perfect Christmas indulgence… If you’re in Auckland, head down to Bar 3 and ask one of the very friendly bartenders to whip you up a Chocoholic. However if you can’t make it, we've been lucky enough to score the recipe from bartender T, so you can make it at home!
Ingredients
15ml Tia Maria
15ml Kahluha
30ml Bayleys
30ml Fresh cream
Ice
Chocolate sauce and strawberries to garnish
Garnish cocktail glass with chocolate sauce (try running a tooth pick through the swirls of sauce for super sexy patterns)
Chill glasses in fridge for approx 3 minutes
In a blender mix ice, and all ingredients
T’s tip – Make sure you taste the cocktail before serving it. This way you’ll know if you need to add any extra touches, and you can be sure that you know what you’ve made!
Pour into cocktail glass, smooth out, decorate again with chocolate sauce, and add a fresh strawberry.
