Have you got your New Year’s Eve sorted? We’ve picked out the hottest places for you to be when it comes time to bring in the New Year. With a mix of festivals, concerts, events and parties you’ll have no excuse not to party like it’s 2009! 

Rhythm and Vines
A three day extravaganza from December 29 through to January 1 at the beautiful Waiohika Estate in Gisbourne, Rhythm and Vines is a kiwi summer festival experience like no other. Featuring the best of up-and-coming and established artists, both local and international, performing over four stages in natural amphitheatres set all throughout the vineyard. Highlife Entertainment New Year's Experience
The ever famous highlife party have set themselves up in the beauty countryside and winery district of Matakana. With multiple themed areas to explore and over six stages of sound including the new "live music arena", Highlife Entertainment has confirmed some of the best talent from local crews and around the globe. Phat 08
For those of us in the South Island, Phat09 will run from December 30 until the January 2 over two stages including the very best of live and produced NZ and international breakbeat, dub, drum n bass, reggae, dubstep and hip hop. The festival is located in Inangahua on the West Coast between Murchison, Reefton and Westport. The site is in a valley surrounded by gorgeous native rainforest. Inangahua is a three hour drive west of Christchurch, one hours drive east of Westport, two hours drive south of Nelson or three hours drive south of Picton. Rhythm and Beats
nzgirls in the capital city on New Year’s should check out the Rhythm and Beats party in Civic Square. Part of the Meridian Energy Summer City Festival, the Rhythm and Beats concert will see over 8,000 people dancing and grooving with some of the Wellington’s most vibrant bands, dance groups and visual artists. Canaan Downs Festival
Located in Nelson, the Canaan Downs festival can be found at the legendary location of Canaan Downs on Takaka Hill.
