November is nearly over - we're rapidly approaching the end of the year! How are you going with your challenges? Check them off here...
November on nzgirl is all about ‘What She Said…’ – listening to other nzgirls for their tips, tricks and advice. It’s all about helping you creating that perfect recipe for success, and so are our challenges this month…
TAME
Listen to an older nzgirl. Ask your mum, grandma, aunty or another older nzgirl you respect, to tell you about one of the most life changing moments they’ve ever had. Listen carefully to what they say – and learn from their triumphs and mistakes!
Keep a diary. Each night for the rest of the month try and keep a dairy. In it, record the day’s trials and tribulations – what went right and what went wrong. At the end of each week go back through and evaluate what you’ve achieved – it’s all about learning from your own mistakes!
INTERMEDIATE
Find yourself a role model. Don’t have a role model? Now is the perfect time to find someone you truly admire, to try and boost your own goals and achievements. Study up on women (or men) you’ve always been interested in; read their autobiographies or biographies, google them and find out as much as you can. There are so many too pick from – have fun finding out a little more about amazing women such as Dame Whina Cooper, Kate Sheppard or someone a little more new school like Oprah or Princess Diana!
A weekend away with the girls. Grab your best girlfriends and head off on a weekend away together – no boys allowed! Whether you do it luxe styles by renting a hotel in the middle of a pumping city, or less styles with camping on a beach, just head away for some quality catch up time. Think gossip, yummy food and loads of girly fun!
CHALLENGING
What have you always wanted to do? Whether it’s learning a new language, skydiving or travelling to a different country, figure out what it is and pluck up your courage to do it once and for all!
Clear out those secrets. Got a deep, dark secret lurking in the back of your mind? Free yourself by letting it go and getting it off your chest! Let someone you trust in on your secret and you’ll feel a whole lot better (so long as it’s your secret to tell and not someone else’s!). Don’t let your past drag you back!
