Croatia! An eight day island hopping adventure from Split to Dubrovnik.
My first thought when I stepped off the plane was...
Wow the airport is really small! But I had a fantastic view out the plane window of the gorgeous coastline so I knew there was lots to look forward to.
My craziest night was...
Having tequila boom-booms in Hvar. You have to put on an old army helmet, then the bartender pounds his fist on your head a couple of times, then you have to do the shot - yuck!
The coolest thing I saw was...
Everything. It’s so hard to pick. Probably walking around the top of the city walls in Dubrovnik. There are amazing views from up there and the old town inside the walls is so cute.
It's so different from home because...
Every day was 30+ degrees and the water is so beautiful and clear. The whole turbulent history, you can still see bullet marks in the Dubrovnik city walls. And the Gelati is to die for!
I'd like to come back next time and...
Spend a bit more time in Split and Dubrovnik. I would definitely do the boat trip again, it was fantastic.
I'd recommend this place to you...
Because it is incredibly beautiful and sunny. And the best bit is that it is not too overrun with tourists yet
