We’ve taken some of our favourite recipes from the ingenious 42Below Vodka University, a practical and fun short course in the art of cocktail making. Don’t be fooled into thinking you need an expensive and extensive array of rare and random liqueurs, spirits and juices – all you need are a few simple ingredients and tools (a shaker and muddler are good starting points, along with a few bottles of your fav flavored vodka). All of the recipes we’ve picked are fool proof, super easy and require minimal ingredients, but are absolutely amaze!
Money Honey
This simple, delicious and enticing cocktail can be created in a matter seconds! Its decadent, warm match of berry and honey flavours is great in any season.
30 mls 42BELOW Manuka Honey flavoured vodka
10 mls raspberry liquer
150 mls cranberry juice
1 lime wedge to garnish
Fill a glass with ice, and add 42BELOW Manuka Honey and raspberry liqueur. Top with cranberry juice, stir well and squeeze in a wedge of lime.
Jerry Collins
A perfect refreshing, summer cocktail, the Jerry Collins is super easy to make and has a divine kick to it.
45 mls 42BELOW Feijoa flavoured vodka
30 mls lemon juice
15 mls elderflower cordial (can be purchased from most health stores and some supermarkets. If you can’t find any use sugar syrup instead)
Soda water
2 Lemon wedges to garnish or a slice of feijoa
Combine 42BELOW Feijoa, juice and elderflower cordial in a mixing glass. Top with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass filled with fress ice. Top with soda, stir well, and garnish with 2 lemon wedges or a slice of feijoa.
Kiwi Caipiroska
If you love kiwifruit, you’ll love this sweet, tangy drink – the pulpy kiwifruit gives a fantastic sour edge.
45 mls 42BELOW Kiwifruit flavoured vodka
3 lime wedges
2 teaspoons of sugar
½ skinned, diced kiwifruit
In a mixing glass muddle together the lime and sugar with the kiwifruit, add the 42 BELOW Kiwifruit vodka, and fill with crushed ice. Shake sharply, and pour into a rocks glass filled with fresh or crushed ice.
Falling Water
This divine cocktail is easy to make but bound to impress. If you love the classic 42BELOW Feijoa flavoured vodka, this is a sure fire treat…
30 mls 42BELOW Feijoa flavoured vodka
Chi or Phoenix organic lemonade
Long slice of cucumber
Fill a glass with lots of ice, and add in vodka and Chi. Add the cucumber slice and stir briefly to infuse cucumber flavour into the drink.
