Ever come back from holiday only to feel like you need another one, because you made the most of the time you had off! I'm talking partying hard, running around and jamming in as much as you possibly could into each and every day?
Well perhaps you need to plan your next escape so that it’s all about relaxing and reviving…you’ll feel amazing for it! We've picked out five of our favourite relaxing and reviving holiday destinations to get you thinking...
Mantra Treetops Resort and Spa, Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia You don’t have to travel half way around the world to find relaxation and recuperation, just a hop skip and a jump across the Tasman is Port Douglas in Northern Queensland. The temperature is always gorgeous and you don’t have to worry about too much of a time difference (two or three hours depending on the time of year). Mantra Treetops Resort and Spa is set between two of the most beautiful and unique world heritage listed locations - the ancient Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. The resort itself is built in amongst the rainforest canopy, so how could you not feel yourself unwind and relax in amongst nature, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Mana Resort, Mana Island, Fiji The name tells it all, it is a resort on its very own Island! Yup, you don’t have to share it with anyone else (apart from other people staying at the resort too). The website says, “magical Mana offers blissful reverie to those who seek intimate peace and quiet”, so how could you argue that you wouldn’t come back from there feeling like a new woman?! Mana is decorated with clear coral waters, golden sand and a sprinkling of lush tropical flora and fauna. The resort is spread across 300 acres (believe me, that’s a lot!) and you can get your push play 30 minutes a day by wandering the soft rolling green hills just inland from your spot on the beach. Bora Bora Lagoon Resort – Bora Bora, Polynesia
If you close yours eyes and think about the most beautiful tropical island you could ever imagine, you still wouldn’t be able to picture how perfect Bora Bora actually is. The choice of leisure activities you have is swimming, either in the crystal clear lagoon or the freshwater swimming pool, or spending your time at the beauty spa. My advice would be a healthy mix of both! The Maldives, Indian Ocean The Maldives are often described as the jewels of the Indian Ocean. Think beautiful, sparkling, breathtaking islands that will leave you wanting more. There are over 1190 atolls in the Maldives! Of course not all of them are inhabited, only 200 are, but each resort is located on its own one! You can rest assured that your holiday doesn’t have any effect on the environment either, as there are very strict rules in place with regards to rubbish, pollution and noise. A lot of the resorts in the Maldives have the option of your bungalow being over the ocean – which is definitely recommended just to make your piece of paradise even more heavenly. A Cruise Cruises have had a bit of a bad rep; most of you might be thinking they're only filled with old people - but it's not true! There are so many cruise ships with 24-hour night clubs – not exactly catered towards the grannies is it! But if you're after a bit of relaxation, you can chill out by the pool, visit the onboard spa for massages and facials and let the days just melt away. Depending on where you go, there will be day trips every second/third day so you can stop in port for a spot of shopping and site seeing! Top 5 Things to Do on a Cruise:
- Book a shore excursion everyday you're in port.
- Pre purchase your wine packages to save.
- Pre book specialty restaurants
- To save, book spa treatments on port days
- Check out the spectacular evening shows
