How to wear bigb, bright boho prints

Have you seen the new boho pieces in store and are wondering how to make them work? I give you my tips on creating a great look with pieces that some may consider too bold and brash to work....

Case and point, the Chille skirt from Dotti, a great individual piece that you'd pick up on a rack and think, 'that's cool, but how do i wear this?'... 1: Go with a theme Use the key piece to tie together an entire look, I went with ethnic touches such as the stacked bangles, hippie earrings and gladiator heels to ground this theme and bulk it out.
2: Pick a hueI love the turquoise blue so chose to pick this colour out with a great nail polish, earrings and a cute little jacket. By picking a dark colour that isn’t neutral we are grounding the print as a whole so it doesn’t stand out as much.
3: Pair it with classics The jacket I chose has a 40s feel, whilst the tank is a bare and basic classic. It pares back the trendiness of the skirt a bit and makes it more wearable. |
