About You
Give your life a luxe makeover!

Give your life a luxe makeover! When it comes to giving your life a spruce up, you can’t go past a down and dirty spring clean.

Get rid of all those skeletons in your life-closet, face your fears and don’t let anything hold you back. Who knows what you’ll end up with – you could find a few hidden gems. From finding your soul mate, to finding a bit of extra moolah, here’s our complete guide to revamping your life for the better!

Pesky fines
You rented a copy of Dirty Dancing from the video store…three years ago and it’s nowhere to be seen! Now you’re too scared to step foot back in the video shop, let alone try to leave the country in case heaven forbid, you’re arrested and declined for that damn fine!

Luxe makeover:
Stop being cheap! Fess up to your crime (even if it wasn’t your fault exactly!) and wipe your name clean by paying up any old fines – whether they’re for overdue library books, or speeding. The quicker you pay them the better. Not only will you have a healthier credit rating (more chance of getting a mortgage for that amazing dream house!), you can assured knowing you’ve got no fines holding you back from any other opportunities including travel. New York here you come!

That old crush
There’s that one guy from high school who you just can’t seem to get over! You’re forever day dreaming and thinking ‘if only…’ You spend forever wondering if he is the one that got away…

Luxe makeover:
Stop torturing yourself and find that guy now! There’s only one way to figure out if he’s the man for you, and that’s by working up enough courage to actually talk to him and find out.

OK, so this may not be a little tricky, especially if you haven’t actually seen him in years. Start with small steps - if you had any mutual friends ask them for his contact details, or you could try a good ol’ facebook hunt. We’re not advising you do any crazy stalking, just try and get back in touch with him. Even if you just become email buddies – that’s still one extra friend. And what’s the worst that could happen? He could end up being the man of your dreams after all!

It was bad once, so I’m never doing it again… Ever!
You had a bad experience with something – be it food/sports/fashion/dating/singing/driving/dancing (basically anything) and now you won’t ever, ever do it again. No matter what. You know what I’m talking about, that ‘thing’ that everyone who knows you, knows you just don’t do.

Luxe makeover:
Get over it! Just because you had one, little, bad experience doesn’t mean you should limit yourself from ever enjoying that opportunity, hobby or thing ever again! You’ve got to ‘dust yourself off and try again!’ If we all gave up at the first hurdle, the world would be a very boring, uninspiring and lame place. Plus, you’ll never know what you’re missing out on if you don’t give it a go. You’re challenge is to enrich your life by finding that ‘thing’ you just don’t do, and doing it. Break out of your shell – don’t be the boring one who never tries anything!

The friend who just disappeared…
You fell out with a friend or just lost contact with them, and now you miss them like crazy. But, you don’t want to get in touch because you’re scared of being rejected.

Luxe makeover:
Open yourself up. Find that friend and reconnect. Just because you lost touch with them doesn’t meant that the friendship isn’t worth rekindling. If you miss them and really want them back in your life, put your pride to the side and fire through an email, a text, a call – whatever. If the friendship was as great as you remember, they’ll probably be missing you just as much! You have nothing to lose, apart from an amazing friend… So what are you waiting for? Go for it!

The money monster
You’ve heard about tax returns and how fantastic they can be (yay – extra moolah, for no extra work!) but you’ve also heard that they’re complicated, long and drawn out, and can sometimes backfire (if you figure out that you indeed owe tax instead of the other way round!) So you’ve done nothing about your tax, instead preferring to ignore it completely. It’s just too hard.

Luxe makeover:
This is simple - just visit mytaxback.co.nz. These fabulous people will do all the hard work for you – they’ll contact the IRD to find out if any money is owed to you, and all you have to do is click a few buttons. My Tax Back are tax agents, registered with the IRD to process tax refunds for wage and salary earners.

They are a super safe option – there’s no chance of you being stung because if they do find that you indeed owe the IRD money, they simply won’t process your tax return. You won’t have to be anything! There’s no upfront fee payable and the minimal amount that you do have to pay depends on how much money you actually have owing to you. Plus, if they find that you have no refunds owing, they won’t charge you for their services. The typical refund for their clients is between $300 - $500 – what do you have to lose?

If you apply for a tax return now, you can also go in the draw to win a gorgeous Neelear Nomad clutch (valued at $99.00) or a stylish hobo bag ($159.00)! Click here to find out how. This extra money could be just the thing you need to finish off your luxe makeover – maybe you could buy a new pair of boots, or a sexy dress?!
