July 1 – July 5 Electro-Carnaval feat. Brazil Beat Sound System tour the South Island. They play Tues July 1: Subculture, Dunedin. Thurs July 3: The Backstage, Dunedin. Sat July 5: The Civic, Christchurch CBD. The DJ act hail from Gisborne and play latin-style house and break beats. At the end of July they head to the States for their US album release tour, with dates in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Tickets are $10.00 and each gig goes from 10pm to 3am. |
July 1 – July 6 Queenstown Winter Festival The Queenstown Winter Festival attracts some 60,000 people for a 10-day frenzy of concerts, balls, competitions, races, fireworks, bands, comedy, debates, food and wine in over 60 events. One event for nzgirls is the Lindaur Powder Room. Have your makeup done by the professionals from Smashbox while enjoying a glass of Lindaur Special Reserve. July 5 Ballroom and Latin Dance Spectacular: Held in Browns Bay, Auckland. See the professionals move Dancing with the Stars style at East Coast Bays Leisure Centre. The Expos bring together an extensive variety of services and products aimed at today's women.
