Hola mis amigas! I’m Angela – your resident TV addict here at nzgirl. In short, I’m 18 yrs old and hope to be (ideally) in the entertainment industry one day (hopefully music or TV) while doing some amateur journalism on the side. In the meantime I’m doing two degrees - Business Studies (management) and Arts (media studies) - at Massey University. My spare time is spent sleeping (it’s guaranteed to be a good day if I get to sleep past 10am), chilling with my friends, and listening to my CD collection (I have around 150 at the moment and I’m still adding to it…) My fave TV show is Roswell. It may be finishing, but I’ve got just about every episode on tape so at least I have something to keep me going. (Mmmmm…Jason Behr…). Catch ya later couch potatoes!! Luv ~ANG~
That’s just about it folks, it is now the countdown to Sunday – the final ever episode of Roswell, entitled ‘Graduation’. My fave show is almost over and the normally joyous occasion of two episodes in just one week is really sort of sad. Ah well, at least its promised to be a good episode. It screened in America on May 14th and so far I’ve managed to shut my eyes to e-mails and chat rooms whenever anyone tries to even hint at what happens (unlike many other shows where I’ve actually gone in pursuit to find out what will happen, I’ve waited this long for the Roswell finale, I’m going to be surprised dammit).
To keep you in the loop of what happened last week (just in case you were out in the middle of Nepal and couldn’t make it to a tv set) we saw the return of Tess and (Max’s) baby Xan – named after Max’s former alien self. It turned out that their child was fully human and was rejected by Kavar who was going to kill Xan, so Tess fled the planet with the baby (it was her spaceship that collided and crashed). Liz forgave Tess and saved her (sort of) and motivated Tess to do at least one good thing in her life, sacrificing herself to save Xan. Max and Isabel’s parents finally discovered their secret about their other-worldly origins (and took it rather well might I add), and dealt with the double blow of finding themselves instant grandparents. Max told his father to get Xan adopted out to a home with parents as good as he and Isabel had (awww….) – saying that if Xan stayed with him, he would always be in danger. I can honestly say I haven’t cried so much in ages (though any of my friends will tell you that I’m a total sook and cry at everything anyway).
This special final episode of Roswell will not be shown in its usual time slot on Tuesday, but instead will screen this Sunday at 7:30pm on TV2 following Futurama – which will be about Roswell too - so DON’T WAIT FOR TUESDAY – you will miss it. The finale preview at the end of the second-to-last episode had this to say about it:
Oooooooooooo!
Ooh I can’t wait!!
Roswellian 4eva…
~ANG~
P.S. If anyone can tell me the name of the song playing when Max says goodbye to Xan, I will absolutely love you for it. It was so pretty!! (just thinking about it will turn me into a blubbering mess again…)
