Despite starting life as a teen site, nzgirl’s audience has grown up with us. We now target 20 to 30 something women, and as you’ll see in the graph below we have more members who are over 30, than under 18!

We boast New Zealand’s largest online, permanent ad format – the appropriately named, “Ridiculous Rectangle”. Weighing in at 440 x 600 px, this full page print ad equivalent is yours to play with as you wish creatively (it’s a 5 Way ad – you can use it for M-Rec, Skyscraper, Mega Skyscraper, Super Rec or Ridiculous Rectangle).  It’s available on all pages of the site without frequency capping and it’s one very reasonably priced CPM no matter which format you choose to use.

Thanks to being around for more than a decade, we’re the epitome of social media.  Our forums are some of the most interactive in New Zealand; plus we have specific Facebook and Twitter integration into the site.  We also love to work with the likes of Polyvore and Foursquare PLUS we have user-generated-content.

Who are we?
Targeting females aged 18-39 (aka 20/30 somethings), nzgirl is a market leader in the online space in New Zealand. Launched eleven years ago, the site continues to inspire and inform the women of New Zealand with its mix of fashion, beauty, tech, entertainment, food, health and wellbeing commentary. 2011 looks to be our best year yet, with a super hot makeover and some strong growth targets set.

So what’s different about the new site?

Content strategy ‘our favourite things’
The essence of the new nzgirl site is driven by “Our favourite things”. This grew from a universal love for our Hot Five; five items each week that captured the hearts of Tee and the team around us that week. The Hot Five is everyone on the team’s favourite article, it’s consistently one of our top read articles, a Facebook/Twitter/email chant always starts whenever its late going live on a Friday!  So when we were thinking about ‘what next?’ for nzgirl, this little nugget of wonder was what we came back to. How could we expand on what we did well and take that to a whole new level? Tried and tested content integration still remains for brands, however it will be sign posted for transparency.

Social Media
All our articles on nzgirl use Facebook and Twitter to maximise exposure and encourage interaction with the brand.
But it doesn’t stop at these two, we are always looking for new and interesting ways of engaging across various social media avenues. Stay tuned for some hot new social media integration on nzgirl this year…

Large format ad sizes
nzgirl now offers a wider range of ad sizes available, including the “Smack Down” ad and the largest ad format available in New Zealand, the big “Ridiculous Rectangle”.
