Name: Jade Hart Partner’s Name: James Hart Ages: 27 Jade & 29 James
Where was the ceremony held? Cassels - Scenic Drive, Waitakere Ranges. Who took your photos? Garth Badger.
Which is your favourite shot? The one of James and I smiling under the tree.
How long did you spend organising the wedding? 8 months.
Did you decide to change your name? Yes – I’ve always loved James’ last name.
How did you spend the time leading up to the ceremony? The girls and I stayed at the Langham the night before and one of my best mates surprised me and turned up from London! We all hung out, got our nails done, went to dinner then chilled out at the Spa, it was so hard to get to sleep with five of my best mates keeping me up! Then on the morning of the wedding out came the Verve, we were all so nervous but had so much fun!
What moments brought tears to your eyes? When I heard our wedding song start ‘Nothing Can Change This Love I Have For You’ by Sam Cook and I looked at my Dad.
Any funny moments from the reception? My drunk aunty catching the bouquet and getting up on the microphone declaring her single status.
Any advice for brides to be? Don’t stress out too much, remember why you’re getting married in the first place. Flowers by? All That Jasmine. Cake by? Rocket Kitchen – we have two little Griffon dogs called Poppy and Brian so we had them on the top of the cake!
Number of attendees? 100.
What was your bridal car? We had a big double decker bus for our guests but the bridal party didn’t need one as we had our ceremony and reception at the same place - Cassels.
Any Bridezilla moments? My bridesmaids nick named me Bridechiller. So no bridezilla moments I'm proud to say. Furtherest travel for a guest? New York and London.
